About the Role:
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th Grade Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for middle school students.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards for Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Supervise students in the classroom, during lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Sponsor and support student clubs and extracurricular activities to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional program and support student success.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid State of Florida teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra at the middle school level.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively to students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.

- Deep understanding of Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra concepts.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to enhance instruction.
