Intern

Summary:

This position will allow a motivated candidate to work within multiple facets of the advertising sales division in an organization that reaches over 53% of Floridians in a given month with robust digital and traditional media offerings. An opportunity to enhance your skills in client retention and lead development as well as help develop programs for self-serve client acquisition. As an advertising intern you will work effectively with the Customers, the internal Marketing Team and Sales Leadership on both print and digital products for the Orlando Sentinel and Sun Sentinel as needed.

What you will do:

• Contact lapsed customers and sales prospects for appointment setting
• Verify that contact information in our customer database is up-to-date by contacting existing customers via phone and email or doing web research
• Generate leads to include name, contact information, etc. for various upcoming events and/or initiatives
• Work with Marketing and Sales Leadership to design and implement advertising to promote our products and services and encourage customer engagement and retention; elements may include digital, social media, radio, email and print advertising
• Other related duties as assigned

What you will bring:

• Be enrolled in a Florida college degree program, with a focus on advertising, marketing, sales, business, communications or a related field
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; interact effectively with other team members, management and customers
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
• Available Monday - Friday, during normal business hours; this is a hybrid position and requires access to reliable internet when working remotely
