Orleans Central Supervisory Union seeks qualified candidates with visionary and systemic leadership capacity to serve as Lake Region Union High School's next Principal. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Lake Region Union High School Principal provides leadership for the instructional program, as well as coordinates the implementation, review, and revision of the curriculum at the building level. Manages the operation and all functions of the grade 9 -12 secondary school of approximately 350 students. Supervises 80 school staff regarding instruction, curriculum, student programs and issues, and building operations. Schedules and attends meetings, as appropriate. Leads the site improvement process. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Provides for the selection, supervision and evaluation of all staff members, as well as various staff procedures.
- Plans, conducts and attends meetings, events, and provides for public relations.
- Responds to written requests for information from students, staff, parents, and State & Federal agencies, and provides reports for the School Board.
- Develops and implements a plan for the continuous evaluation of the curriculum and programs.
- Develops the master schedule based upon student registration.
- Plans and recommends budget, subject to administrative approval.
- Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
- Demonstrated knowledge of public policy, federal and state requirements; and demonstrated experience with budgetary and supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong written, interpersonal, communication, technology, and collaboration skills coupled with experience with team building, organizational development, and community partnerships.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful strategies for a supportive school environment and a multi-tiered system of supports for diverse learners.
