What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at Orleans Community Schools?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Part-Time Athletic Trainer to support the athletic program at Orleans Jr/Sr High School . This position will involve providing injury prevention, immediate care, and rehabilitation services for student-athletes. The athletic trainer will work closely with coaches, students, and medical staff to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes during practice, games, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide injury prevention strategies and athletic training services to student-athletes, including taping, bracing, and stretching exercises.
- Evaluate and assess injuries and provide appropriate first aid and emergency care.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes, in coordination with medical professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
- Provide on-site athletic training coverage for practices, home games, and other athletic events.
- Communicate with coaches, parents, and medical professionals regarding the health and progress of injured athletes.
- Ensure all safety equipment and facilities meet health and safety regulations.
- Assist in creating an injury management plan and implement return-to-play protocols in collaboration with medical staff.
- Educate athletes on proper techniques for injury prevention, conditioning, and nutrition.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in sports medicine.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
