What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Aide (3 Positions) : Roy-Hart Learning Center (TA-1193-1) position at Orleans/Niagara BOCES?
Anticipated initial assignment is Roy-Hart Learning Center, Gasport, NY. The individual will provide instructional support under the direction of the classroom teacher to a student with global delays. Constant one-on-one supervision is required for the safety of the student. The individual will accompany the student to all related services and ancillary classes to provide proximity and support throughout the day. The individual must have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. The individual will be required to exercise patience, maintain even-handed demeanor, be well-organized, multi-task well, and adhere to safety procedures and protocols in place. The individual should have knowledge regarding or experience with students with multiple disabilities. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) and de-escalation training is preferred. Regarding physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position, requirements may include the abilities to regularly and repetitively stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, crawl, and kneel. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. The assignment is subject to change. Salary: $18.25 per hour. Excellent benefits package.
