Position Summary

Responsible for assisting Digital and Fabric Manager and Sewing and Fulfillment Manager by following fabric jobs from material layout, templating, printing, cutting, and sewing custom fabrics. Leading by example, maintaining the quality of products and processes, collaborating with the team to resolve challenges and implement improvements, and ensuring production requirements are met.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Digital and Fabric Manager and Sewing / Fulfillment Manager with following the process of jobs through digital layout, printing, cutting, sewing, quality control, and into packing.
• Work with managers on schedules for teams and production deadlines.
• Lead by example and help train team members and temporary workers on finishing roles within the fabric finishing area, ensuring any team member required to operate machinery has been properly trained on the correct and safe use of the machines.
• Quality assurance – complete visual and specification quality checks monitoring jobs are up to standard.
• Maintain sewing efficiency and help minimize waste.
• Perform sewing machine maintenance and requisition supplies.
• Data collection and record-keeping by using company data Monarch system to record all production activities.
• Create an uncompromising culture of ‘Safety First’ incorporating shop floor organization, housekeeping and cleanliness in reference to the Orora Visual Safety Plan drive the facility’s safety policies, practices & performance and take personal accountability for making Safety the number one priority.
• Other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as Presses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and see.
