Job Summary
The Dietary Helper performs a variety of kitchen duties as assigned. Assigned areas may be in patient food service, cafeteria food service or in dishwashing.
Duties
- Assembles prepared foods for regular or modified diet trays
- Delivers trays to serving area or Nursing Stations
- Prepares simple salads or desserts
- Prepares between-meal nourishment for patients
- Works on trayline to assist in patient tray set-up
- Operates a dishwasher
- Performs general cleaning duties in the Dietary Department
- Will perform other duties as assigned
Other Info:
Lifting Requirements: Medium – Generally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Standing requirements are from 7 to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are required to a significant degree.
