Responsibilities : Job Summary
The Surgical Assistant / Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of all patients under his / her care. Included within this assignment is the responsibility for ensuring effective communication with the charge nurse, the patient, staff, physicians, and other hospital departments.
Duties
Scrub procedure as assignedAssist in work area in central sterile between scrub assignments prnAssist in keeping overall operating room clean and tidyReport on and off duty at control deskReport on and off at control desk for lunchInform control desk where you are at all times while on dutyMake sure room is cleaned, straightened and stocked before going off dutyWhen free :Help in rooms by opening cases or helping with stocking
