Position Overview:
The Volunteer Recruitment Assistant will support the Orphanage Support Services Organization (OSSO) in its efforts to recruit passionate and dedicated volunteers. This role will assist with in-person and virtual recruitment activities, event coordination, and outreach efforts to engage potential volunteers. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in nonprofit work, community engagement, and volunteer coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing recruitment events, such as information sessions, career fairs, and community outreach programs.
- Support in-person recruitment efforts, including helping organize and attend local events and other volunteer interest meetings.
- Conduct outreach to potential volunteers through email, phone calls, and social media engagement.
- Assist in managing volunteer inquiries, providing information, and answering questions about OSSO programs.
- Help develop and distribute recruitment materials, including flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns.
- Maintain and update the volunteer database with prospective volunteer information.
- Assist in tracking recruitment metrics and analyzing outreach effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about volunteer work and international service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with social media platforms and outreach strategies is a plus.
- Comfortable speaking to groups and representing OSSO at events.
