Position Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager organizes and enables collaboration and partnership across cross-functional teams, with internal and external partners, and executes on strategy & architecture driven initiatives. Drives or assists in communications on strategic initiatives to help attain consensus, achieve clarity and solve business problems. This position is a hands-on role; one requiring strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and can work proactively. The Project Manager will direct teams to effectively manage change while ensuring quality outcomes to meet business objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, or related
- 8 years Project Management, or related
- In lieu of Education Experience - 10 years Project Management or related
- Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role, strong personal management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time
- Direct experience planning, evaluating, directing, tracking, analyzing, and coordinating complex projects. Experience with project documentation creation (charters, requirements, schedule and resource plans, risk / issue lists, and test plans)
- Proven track record of partnering with other subject matter experts to deliver a holistic approach and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication and proven experience working well with all levels of staff including executive level management, business stakeholders, and technical teams
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure and deadline
- Proficiency with MS Office Desktop Suite, MS Visio and MS Project
- PMP certification and Financial Services experience preferred
