Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this job is to accomplish the day to day accounting functions in the assigned area including journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and financial analysis.
Major Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial close activities including preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Preparation and analysis of assigned Balance Sheet accounts. Perform proper and timely follow up and resolution of all reconciling items
- Perform monthly account variance analysis
- Preparation of monthly financial schedules
- Prepare reports and documentation to facilitate the company's external audit process
- Prepare and file government census forms.
- Special projects as assigned
- Understands and demonstrates Medco's Core Values
- Perform other duties assigned
