Night Transfer Driver
Swedesboro, NJ
The Night Transfer Driver position is based out of Swedesboro, NJ. This position transports replenishment stock to our Branch Store Network throughout the Tri-State area (Pa, NJ & De.) The driver must be qualified to operate class 6, 7 & 8 Trucks / Tractors and will require the driver to load / unload his cargo with a forklift. Position will require incumbent to work the night shift. Mon thru Fri 6:30 PM to 3:00AM. Overtime, weekends and holidays may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conform to all DOT regulatory compliance issues to include but not limited to :
- ELD Hours of Service Reports , Driver Log & Manifesting Reports, Vehicle Pre / Post Inspection Reports, Random Drug & Alcohol testing and DOT Medical Examination.
- Must Maintain CDL class A license with Air Break and Hazmat endorsements.
- Must adhere to all Local, State and Federal highway traffic laws.
- Employee should be an expert in handling his vehicle and perform minor maintenance if needed to complete his route.
- Must adhere to daily dispatched routing schedule by the manager.
- Driver must be proficient to operate a vehicle in adverse traffic and weather patterns.
- Driver will be required to load & unload his vehicle at all times.
- Driver must take all precautions to protect his load at all times & to minimize all load damages utilizing load bars and strapping devises.
- Is required to pass proscribed web based safety training.
Skills and Specifications
- Must operate class 6 & 7 & 8 trucks.
- A Must have the ability to read & write in English.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. without assistance.
- Must operate a forklift and pallet jack and maintain OSHA forklift certification.
- Employee must be friendly and courteous towards our internal & external customers.
- Must have good team spirit and work in perfect coordination with his colleagues.
- Ability to read & interpret Road maps and follow GPS directional devises and onboard ELD devises.
Education and Qualification
- 2-3 years previous driving experience
- Forklift experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent trade school certification.
- Valid CDL class A license with Air Break and Hazmat endorsements.
- Must meet Department of Transportation age requirement and precertification requirements.
- Maintains DOT Medical certification.
- Meets all DOT criteria regarding Drug & Alcohol random testing.
- Good interpretational skills.
