POSITION SUMMARY
Pay Range: $21-$26
Nursing Account Representative is responsible for reimbursement of all nursing accounts. The NAR must have comprehensive knowledge of the manufacturer and charitable funding landscape. The PNAR will investigate to obtain the best source of reimbursement for nursing for the patient and Orsini. The PNAR assures there is close coordination with the Admissions department, Therapy teams, and Billing department. The PNAR will ensure copay and foundational assistance payments are received and applied to patient benefits. The PNAR will work with the family to send in all necessary documents to assistance funds to secure coverage.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & TRAINING:
- Knowledge and understanding of pharmacy benefits, benefit reimbursement, medical insurances, and a certain level of medical terminology. Also, a significant working knowledge of the regulations and requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturer copay assistance programs and 501c3 foundational assistance.
- Requires interpersonal and communication skills to efficiently work with diverse groups of vendors and internal customers.
- Requires excellent organizational/administrative skills, focus, flexibility, and the ability to get tasks done.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, perform duties simultaneously, and effectively function in stressful situations.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate/provide information and care to patients and families.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, insurance companies and co-workers.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Requires basic computer skills and the ability to use online calendars, email and components of the Microsoft Office and Excel.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Establish a team dynamic and processes that support the patient services needs of the organization.
- Assure the smooth and accurate flow of copay reimbursement assistance and nursing agency contracts in line with the needs of the business.
- Work cross functionally with internal departments such as Admissions, Nursing, Pharmacy and Billing Operations to assure consistent support of our patients.
- Establish and maintain efficient processes in coordination with the reimbursement and billing teams to create/start the billing process with assistance programs.
- Maintain relationships with external nursing agency contracting representatives as well as foundations that provide vital financial support for our patients/customers.
