Salary Range: $58k-72k
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the Finance department, handling various accounting and reporting responsibilities. This includes preparing manufacturer service fee accounting and billing, assisting with the monthly close process, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, submitting reports to manufacturers, invoicing manufacturers for monthly and quarterly service fees, and processing related journal entries.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate finance or healthcare-related environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables; experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP)
- Highly responsible, organized, and detail-oriented; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to learn, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic, growing company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments
- Basic understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
ESSESTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Account and invoice manufacturers for monthly and quarterly service fees and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Coordinate with internal program managers on product launches and related services to capture new and amended service fees
- Prepare vendor reporting and process weekly payments
- Assist in the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, light billing, and financial reporting
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the Finance department
- Assist with compliance and audit requests as needed
- Other duties or projects as required
