We are looking for a skilled bookkeeping assistant that has:
-A strong attention to detail
-Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)
-A basic understanding of accounting principles
-Good math skills
-Excellent organizational abilities
-The ability to accurately record transactions, manage invoices, and assist with the preparation of financial reports
Responsibilities
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Enter data, maintain records
- Process accounts receivable/payable
Skills
- Proven bookkeeping experience (worked in accounting industry or performed accounts payable/receivable tasks for at least 3 years)
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office and QuickBooks Desktop
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in construction industry (2 years preferred)
- Some college or Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (preferred)
