Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time slots.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health information systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and any necessary follow-up.
- Handle insurance verification and assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on office policies, procedures, and services offered.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
- Experience working in a dental office or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for managing patient records and scheduling.
- Proficiency in office software applications and electronic health record systems is beneficial.
