The Role
As we continue to grow as one QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Production Supervisor to work in our Fluids Manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for the safety, quality, output, waste, and compliance of the crew they are leading. This individual will work with the leadership team to set and maintain standards for Safety and 5S, oversee the training process, interviewing process, and hire new team members, and provide regular performance feedback to the team. This role will also work closely with quality to resolve issues in a timely manner to enable product flow. The individual will need to be proficient in MS Office Suite, have MRP system knowledge, knowledge of and experience leading / maintaining 5S activity in a manufacturing setting. The individual will also be accountable for creating and maintain a positive, productive, and accountable culture within their crew. This position is in Rochester, NY.
Work Schedule : "Firemen's Rotation" : Two 12-hour days (6 : 00am-6 : 00pm) followed by two 12-hour nights (6 : 00pm-6 : 00am)
The Responsibilities
- Leads and Supervises Operations personnel and provides regular feedback on attendance and performance.
- Accountable for the Crew's adherence to Safety, Quality, and Compliance policies and when necessary, counsel team members who are in violation of these policies. Adheres to policy and procedural guidelines ensuring consistent execution within their crews
- Responsible for performance management processes and employee development of direct reports.
- Recruits / hires staff to maintain required headcount.
- Monitors staffing levels aligning overtime needs with daily production demands.
- Maintains and monitors KPIs for each work area and drives actions to address gaps.
- Drives continuous improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The Work Environment
The work environment characteristics are representative of a manufacturing, laboratory, and warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues, and samples. Up to 75% of the time you will be, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $118,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays.
