As a Production Manager - Machine Shop, we are looking for a self-starter who is highly motivated. Oversee and manage machine shop operations across multiple shifts. Responsible to ensure resources are strategically allocated to meet the production schedule. Knowledge of machining, Lean principles, and leading a team to ensure safe, quality, and efficiency of the machining operations.

Location: Draper, UT
Principal Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of machinist and technicians
- Manage day to day operations including assigning tasks, project priority, and escalating issues
- Monitor performance and conduct regular performance evaluations
- Oversee daily operations of a multiple shift machine shop to ensure production schedule is met
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize processes and resolve production issues
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve efficiency and productivity
- Responsible for compliance to quality management system (QMS) and regulatory standards
- Implement corrective actions and process improvements to address quality issues
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction
- Lead initiatives to implement Lean manufacturing principles and best practices
- Stay current with advancements in machining technology and industry trends
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a safe working environment
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

- Bachelor's Degree
Experience specific to this position:
- Minimum of 5-7 years in a machine shop environment
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tool setup, and machine operation
- Experience in the medical device industry is highly desirable
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
