What youll do:
The Rehab Authorization Specialist is responsible for working with staff to expeditiously contact the various entities, provide accurate clinical and demographic information, obtain the authorizations in a timely manner and communicate the information to the patient.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Processes data to implement any changes in information
Obtains rehab orders/requests for target locations in the organization by monitoring our EMR system, phone, online, or emails
Conducts online/phone authorization requests for patients schedules
Conducts online/phone authorization investigation of eligible benefits
Communication of authorization/benefits to patients prior to exams
Scheduling of initial and follow-up visits with the respective therapist
Facilitation of peer-to-peer interviews for authorizations
Provision of medical records in pursuit of authorizations
Documentation of authorization process in various systems: Centricity, Exscribe, and Health I-Pass
Who you are:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records
