We’re looking for a Patient Care Coordinator who is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out. What You'll Do:
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring each patient’s visit is as smooth and comfortable as possible. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm, friendly attitude, whether in person or over the phone.
- Maximize patient satisfaction by ensuring timely check-ins and efficient use of treatment rooms.
- Manage patient accounts by updating demographic and insurance information accurately in the system.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-ups, ensuring continuity of care.
- Communicate with the pre-cert team regarding patient orders and follow-ups.
- Track cancellations and no-shows, ensuring patients remain on track for their care plans.
- Check patients in via our EMR system while verifying insurance and demographic details.
- Assist with referrals, both outpatient and surgical, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide patients with appointment printouts and other necessary documentation.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A positive, caring demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, insurance companies, and others.
- Clinical knowledge and an understanding of medical terminology (experience in orthopedics is a plus!).
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) and proficiency in general office technology (fax, copiers, etc.).
- Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a front desk role in a healthcare setting, preferably in orthopedics.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus!
What You Bring:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required), with an Associate’s or higher degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a medical front desk role, along with a background in customer service.

At Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians, you’ll work in a professional, comfortable office setting where you can focus on providing the best care possible. You’ll primarily be at a desk and using a computer, with occasional light lifting of up to 20 pounds.
