We currently have an exciting opportunity for an EXPERIENCED orthodontic assistant for our 38th, Avery, Lakeway and Liberty Hill office! Our ideal candidate must be reliable, punctual, a team player, have a professional appearance and attitude as well as a strong work ethic.
What You’ll Do
- Assisting the doctors, preparing for the patient days by sterilizing & bagging instruments, making adjustment trays, going over each patient chart, taking impressions for retainers, appliances, Invisalign and scanning with iTero for Invisalign, fabricating retainers, proper OSHA guidelines of clean up, placement & removal of brackets, wires, appliances, bands, etc in patient’s mouths, capturing records including x-rays and intraoral photos, help the doctors to clearly see problems & changes within a patient’s mouth and learn the direction in which we will be treating the patient.
- Stocking of necessary equipment, all necessary charting in each patient chart, teaching patients/parents the importance of oral hygiene, explaining in great detail the steps of preparation as you go, as well as the care & maintenance of any new appliance(s).
- Ability to take photos and X-rays and upload them.
- Providing post-treatment instructions; Educating patients on proper oral health and at-home directions for care.
- Taking Intraoral 3D scans on Itero and alginate impressions.
- Ability to fabricate essix retainers (impress, pour stone, fabricate on minister
- Adhering to checklists/maintenance duties- daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Performing the following procedures from start to finish: braces adjustments, full bondings, debonds, delivery of invisalign/clear aligners with attachments, etc.

Basic Qualifications
- Orthodontic experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Dolphin dental software
- (is a plus)
This can be a Full-time position with an excellent benefits package or you may opt for the flexibility of a Part-time position!
