Physical Therapist

JOB SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the coordination and treatment of outpatient orthopedic patients. The Physical Therapist is to implement approved treatment protocols into their daily patient care.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Therapy
• Must be a licensed physical therapist in the state of Alabama.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to work with a team effectively and efficiently
• Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with clinic staff and providers
• Ability to efficiently use an EMR (electronic medical record) for patient charting
• Knowledge of the EMR’s Practice Management software
• Must be tech savvy with advanced computer skills
• Quick learner of new processes and software applications
• Good communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other team members
• Ability to follow pre-established procedures and protocols from providers
• Understanding of the medical billing process and coding as it relates to physical therapy treatments.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to offer treatments that help improve the patients’ motion and mobility to full functionality
• Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
• Provide quality and personalized care to the patient and treatment area(s)
• Consult and communicate with referring providers
• Document, dictate, and chart patient encounters on a daily basis.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Physical Therapy Clinic Director

Job Type: Full-time Monday thru Friday
