JOB SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for the coordination and treatment of outpatient orthopedic patients. The Physical Therapist is to implement approved treatment protocols into their daily patient care.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Therapy
- Must be a licensed physical therapist in the state of Alabama.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to work with a team effectively and efficiently
- Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with clinic staff and providers
- Ability to efficiently use an EMR (electronic medical record) for patient charting
- Knowledge of the EMR’s Practice Management software
- Must be tech savvy with advanced computer skills
- Quick learner of new processes and software applications
- Good communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and other team members
- Ability to follow pre-established procedures and protocols from providers
- Understanding of the medical billing process and coding as it relates to physical therapy treatments.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to offer treatments that help improve the patients’ motion and mobility to full functionality
- Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
- Provide quality and personalized care to the patient and treatment area(s)
- Consult and communicate with referring providers
- Document, dictate, and chart patient encounters on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Physical Therapy Clinic Director
Job Type: Full-time Monday thru Friday
