Job Title: Clinic LPN
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for addressing patient calls, assisting in post-operative care, performing blood draws, and preparing for PRP injections. You will collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the clinic. Your support will also be crucial in updating clinical protocols and maintaining patient care documentation.
Essential Functions:
Patient Communication: Receive and respond to patient calls, addressing questions and concerns, and providing necessary information under the direction of the physician. Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate patient communication and care instructions.
Post-Operative Care: Assist in the examination of post-operative wounds and provide support for physical therapy.
Blood Draws & PRP Preparation: Perform blood draws and assist in the preparation of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.
Clinical Protocols: Assist in the creation, update, and implementation of all clinical protocols. Work closely with the Practice Director to ensure protocols are effectively communicated to and followed by clinical staff.
Patient Care Documentation: Document, maintain, and update all information related to patient care to ensure accurate and complete records.
Pre-Surgery Reviews: Review History and Physical (H&P) forms for patients scheduled for surgery, as well as consults and documentation from collaborating providers, ensuring proper information is updated and communicated to the surgical team.
Result Notification & Follow-Up: Review incoming results related to surgery and notify the physician. Collaborate with the physician to follow up on results based on their direction.
Collaboration with Care Teams: Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), anesthesia providers, and surgery facility staff under the direction of the physician to ensure seamless peri-operative care. Correspond and document all related activities.
Surgical Scheduling & Continuity of Care: Assist in maintaining up-to-date information for the flow of pre-surgery care, ensuring a smooth transition for patients between different stages of care (e.g., next triage nurse). Support the surgical book planner for continuity.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of Ohio
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with both patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Proficiency in patient care documentation and record-keeping
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of healthcare professionals
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
