Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at OrthoArizona. As a member of our elite group of orthopedic specialists, you will be part of an energetic work environment and have opportunities for professional growth in various locations across the Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
- Explain procedures to patients and address any questions they may have
- Protect patients from unnecessary radiation exposure by utilizing shielding equipment
- Take x-rays according to established procedures for patient care and safety
- Document patient care services in chart
- Import outside imaging into office PACS
- Scan documents into EMR
- Maintain accurate QC logs and service records, monitor dosimetry badges as required by state and federal regulations
- Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies and report any malfunctions
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital
- Completion of an approved American College of Radiology Technologist program
- Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Az State license Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE)
- Maintain CPR certification
