As a Radiology Technologist with OrthoArizona, you will get to: 
  • Ensure equipment is in working order, maintain radiology supplies and report any malfunctions. 
  • Explain all procedures to patients including answering any questions presented. 
  • Complete X-Ray orders in system, protect patients from unnecessary exposure to radiation by utilizing shielding equipment.    
  • Document patient care services in chart Importing of outside imaging to office PACS. 
  • Production of CDs of office images for patients and providers.       
  • Scan documents into EMR.   
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. 
  • Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. 
  • Check-in of outside imaging. 
  • Maintain accurate QC logs and service records, maintain and monitor dosimetry badges, etc. as required by state and federal regulations. 
  • All other duties assigned. 
Qualifications: 
  • Knowledge of radiology equipment. 
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. 
  • Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology.  
  • Working knowledge of computer programs. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Understand/Perform training on electronic medical record software. 
  • Continue to expand knowledge of electronic medical record software as updates occur. 
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program. 
  • Certificate of Medical Imaging Modality by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). 
  • Arizona State license Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners (MRTBE). 
  • Maintain CPR certification. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 1 – 2 years Radiology, preferably in a busy orthopedic practice or hospital.
