OrthoAtlanta is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to work with a fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeons in our Macon location. The Physician Assistant will assist the physicians primarily in the OR and hospital/ER rounding and consults (Piedmont Macon Main and Piedmont Macon North) initially and will eventually conduct independent clinics seeing patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries and illnesses, assisting in the operating room as needed, performing emergency room and hospital consultations, rounding and call duties. Candidates should be flexible and have a strong desire to work both independently and as a team member. Excellent assessment skills and a strong work ethic are required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Ability to be licensed by the State of Georgia.
- Must be able to work independently and work well with co-workers
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with flexible and creative approach
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to communicate professionally and effectively with all member of the healthcare team as well as in simple, concise and soothing language to patients and families
