Salary Range:    $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary/year

Description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the HR function, aligning HR strategies and serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for OrthoConnecticut. The person in this position will provide workforce solutions for complex or critical issues and HR implications of changing OrthoConnecticut needs. Serves as a liaison to the senior management for compensation analysis, benefits, recruitment, and employee engagement.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm. This position works in the office full-time. Remote work is not available for this role. This role will work out of the Danbury office 3 days per week and Norwalk 2 days per week.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization’s human resource function 
  • Oversees the overall employment life cycle to ensure that the organization is able to attract, motivate and retain an exceptional workforce
  • Manages performance management, tracking due dates and sending reminders to mangers in a bi-weekly basis
  • Enhances and /or develops, implements and enforces HR policies and procedures of the organization 
  • Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine/develop competitive compensation plans, reviewing annually
  • Works with COO and insurance broker to develop a comprehensive and cost effective benefit program, provides explanation of benefits to current and new employees, manages and processes enrollments and changes, organizes annual open enrollment
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
  • Manages employee relations by resolving questions and concerns, conducting investigations and making recommendations for effective resolution
  • Maintains and updates job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
  • Coordinates all clinical and non clinical recruitment, orientation and on and off boarding activities through collaboration with the management team, and HR Coordinator
  • Provide oversight of 401K plan including processing all changes, distributions, loans, 5500 filing and annual audit
  • Provide support to employees on a variety of HR questions and concerns
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll and handles bonus payroll as needed

Qualifications


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a hands-on HR role such as an HR Generalist 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and prior experience in employee relations
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment in an organized and productive manner
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR practices at federal and state levels
  • Previous experience in compensation, benefits, employee relations, staffing, and performance management
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office and HRIS systems ( UKG Ready Preferred)
