We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist orthodontists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform medical imaging and take X-rays as needed.
- Utilize 3D scanners for accurate impressions and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Conduct four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient interactions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of medical records management.
- Strong skills in assisting with dental procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Experience with medical imaging technologies, including X-ray and 3D scanning equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus
