How you'll make a difference?

The Intern – Clinical and Medical Writer will participate in projects that allow for familiarity with regulatory medical writing by contributing to literature analysis of spine implants for Post-Market Clinical Follow-Up Reports.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Completes systematic literature searches for implants and extract clinical data from publications
  • Digitizes Clinical study records
  • Performs clinical trial administrative tasks
    • Scans older study records and sends records to off-site storage
    • Identifies program to donate/repurpose older netbooks and tablets
    • Recycles/disposes of non-investigational equipment from closed studies
What skills and experience will you need?

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

Education/Certifications:

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university as a graduate student, having completed at least 1 semester of graduate studies with a minimum GPA of 3.3


Experience, Skills, Knowledge, And/or Abilities:

  • Clinical Research
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Have the legal right to work in the US


What qualifications are preferred?

The education, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.

Education/Certifications:

  • Preferred Majors: Masters in Public Health, Masters in Regulatory Affairs, or Masters in Biomedical Sciences


Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge, And/or Abilities:

  • Experience with scientific writing for conference abstracts and/or publications
  • Familiarity with PubMed and EndNote
