The Senior, Indirect Tax will participate in special projects including tax savings opportunities, as well as support efforts building and maintaining high quality, well documented, efficient processes.

Sales Tax Responsibilities
- Prepare data for and review outsourced preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual sales and use tax returns.
- Supervise administration of Vertex O series and ensure proper collection and reporting.
- Maintain taxability tables related to medical device products.
- Support Accounts Receivable team on set up of tax exemptions, resolution of disputed sales tax, and review sales tax write-offs for proper documentation and remittance.
- Support Accounts Payable on resolution of sales tax assessed on invoices.
- Ensure use taxes are accrued properly, including use of manufacturing exemptions as applicable, and analysis of monthly Vertex accruals for accuracy.
- Preparation of accruals and reconciliations for sales/use accruals and reserves, including preparation of journal entries.
- Participate in sales & use tax audits, including necessary data analysis and preparation of data for auditors.
- Preparation of data analytics on sales/use tax payments, accruals, and expense.
- Supervise outsourced preparation of annual property tax renditions and support valuation protests, including preparation/review of supporting data and review of renditions.
- Periodic review of locations and values of medical device property to identify new filing locations.
- Manage assessments and timely payment of property taxes in multiple jurisdictions.
- Preparation of accruals and reconciliations for property tax accruals and reserves, including preparation of journal entries.
- Preparation of data analytics on property tax payments, assessments, accruals, and expense.
- Coordinate with outside service providers to provide data and review monthly VAT returns in select non-US countries.
- Supervise and coordinate annual reporting requirements with CSC to ensure good standing.
- Assist with tax reporting for fixed assets, using CCH Fixed Asset software, and state property apportionment.
- Monitor legislative changes in tax laws that may impact company’s business and tax positions.
- Ensure all tax processes are SOX compliant and support periodic SOX testing process.
- Lead and support continuous improvement efforts in all working papers.
- Assist with the review, analysis, research, and resolutions of tax issues, including various tax notices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years income direct and indirect tax compliance experience with the ability to work independently and perform analytics analyses.
- Experience with Vertex O series.
- Excellent Excel skills to perform necessary reconciliations, data analytics, and audit support.
- Strong project management skills.
- Masters Degree in Tax
- Experience with Vertex O series
- CPA license or CMI certification
- Experience with data tools such as Alteryx or Power BI
- Experience with Oracle and HFM / FCCS
- Experience with CCH or equivalent Fixed Asset system
- Experience with Tax Research tools such as BNA/Bloomberg

- Minimal travel required from 0-10%, therefore must be able to utilize airplane, taxi, and car.
