Position Summary: Our MRI Technologists, work in a team setting to provide individualized patient care to a diverse patient population. Our MRI technologists work directly with the patient to obtain medical history, provide a safe environment to keep the patient safe near the magnet, and obtain the necessary images for radiologist interpretation.

Position Requirements
Education: Graduate of an A.M.A. approved radiologic technology school -required.
Licensure: ARRT (MR) -required.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) -required.
Experience:
- 1 years of experience as an MRI Technologist -preferred.
- Proficient with GE MRI equipment preferred.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to acquire appropriate MRI images for interpretation by a supervising radiologist.
- Responsible for starting IVs on patients requiring contrast.
- Assess the ability of the patient to comply with the physical requirements of the examination, take patient medical histories, and accurately explain the exam to the patient.
- Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, physicians, and other team members in a collaborative and professional manner.
- Accurately screen patients for potential safety hazards prior to exam
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for quality control of images.
- Ability to adapt and adjust to the patient's abilities and limitations when necessary to obtain the required images.
- Screen patients for safety hazards prior to the exam, obtain medical histories relevant to the exam, and communicate effectively with the patient regarding any questions the patient may have.
- Maintain stock and supply necessary for department functions.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to always maintain safe operations of equipment.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements: This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
