The MRI Lead is responsible for overseeing the staff and clinical operations within the imaging department. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. The MRI Lead also plays a key role in staff development and training, process improvement, and patient education.
Requirements :
- Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the MRI department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and guide for radiology staff.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff within the imaging department. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
- Coordinate patient care, ensuring efficient patient flow and minimizing wait times. Address patient concerns and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Communicate with patients and their families regarding care, address patient concerns, and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and monitoring during imaging procedures.
- Ensure compliance with clinical and ambulatory surgery center policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Facilitate effective communication between MRI staff and other departments.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff in the MRI department.
- Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures, preparation, and follow-up care.
- Managing scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
- Prepare and analyze reports on department performance, patient outcomes, and quality metrics.
- Able and willing to step in whenever necessary to handle additional duties.
