Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. With over 45 years of service to the greater Tampa Bay area, our well-established private practice offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in a supportive environment.
Ideal candidates with Orthopaedic experience are preferred, but we also welcome new graduates with formal Orthopaedic training to apply. This role involves a balanced schedule, allowing you to work in both clinical and surgical settings. This position will require travel, primarily between our Plant City and Winter Haven locations.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and obtain medical histories.
- Evaluate patients and initiate treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Maintain accurate medical records using office and hospital EMR systems.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Split the workweek between approximately three clinic days and two operating room days, assisting in minor and major Orthopaedic procedures.
- Alternate daily hospital rounds, including new patient consultations and post-operative care.
- Participate in shared weekend call rotation: approximately one weekend every eight weeks with the potential of one holiday call per year. Call weekend duties include hospital rounds and surgical cases.

- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements
- A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nursing program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or APRN Nurse Practitioner License, and Florida state licensure.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Orthopaedics is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
