Orthopedic Care Assistant
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient charts from Medical Records and ensure all necessary information is available.
- Retrieve digital films from Medview system for physician review.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of medical supplies and prescriptions in clinic zones.
- Escort patients into exam rooms and assist physicians during visits.
- Prepare prescriptions and patient education materials.
- Verify charge tickets and return outside films to patients or file them as instructed by the physician.
About You:
- High School Diploma required.
- Medical Assistant Diploma or MA Certification required.
- Ability to travel to multiple clinic locations in the Tampa Bay area.
- BLS Certification required within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Suture removal experience.
- Orthopaedic experience.
- Athena EMR experience.
