Position Summary : Dispensary Associate Float

The Dispensary Associate Float is responsible for providing coverage for call outs and PTO requests for the Dispensary Associates in Brandon, South Tampa, and Telecom locations. The Dispensary Associate Float will capture and dispense all prescriptions in our formulary for all Work / Comp and Auto cases (with assigned attorney) as ordered by FOI Dispensing providers for patients. The Dispensary Associate Float is responsible for overseeing the Dispensary Refill Program by monitoring reports, providing updates to all Dispensary locations, contacting patients and meeting with Providers to discuss the program.

The Dispensary Associate Float will oversee the Specialty Injection Scheduling queue ensuring that all new, rescheduled, and bumped Viscosupplementation injections are scheduled in a timely manner. They will also monitor all Providers DEA and ME licenses to ensure all Dispensary binders at all locations contain valid license copies.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma required.
1-3 years experience working in a pharmacy or dispensing clinic setting with prescription knowledge, or medical assistant experience.
Registered Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee Viscosupplementation Scheduling Queues.

Contact patients to schedule all new specialty injection orders populated in the Visco Scheduling queue.

Reschedule all bumped specialty injection appointments due to schedule changes or cancelled clinics.

Provide feedback on non-scheduled specialty injections to the Clinic Supervisors and Managers.

Ensure all records are updated with new appointment information.

Confirm authorization on specialty injection is accurate for any rescheduled appointments.

Covers all prescheduled PTO requests and call outs for the Brandon, South Tampa, and Telecom Dispensary Technicians.

Delivers exemplary customer service to our patients, adjusters, case managers, and providers.

Performs all Dispensary Technician responsibilities when covering PTO.

Communicates with the Physician and Clinic staff ensuring all Work / Comp patients prescriptions are processed.

Oversees the Dispensary Refill Program.

Monitors daily refill reports and communicates patient refill requests with all Dispensary locations.

Contacts patients regarding prescription refill program.

Meets with Providers to discuss Refill Program.

Must be multi-tasked with handling the volume of prescriptions that match our formulary for Work / Comp patients.

Communicates with the patient on the prescriptions being ordered and dispensed.

Ensure that the physicians are aware of the prescriptions, brand and generic in our formulary,

Responsible for maintaining valid Provider ME and DEA licenses are updated in all Dispensary binders at all locations.

All other duties as assigned.
