Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team at a growing orthopedic practice with annual revenue of $320 million and a workforce of 2,000 employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a dynamic organization. Key Responsibilities :

• General Ledger Maintenance : Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger entries, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Month-End and Year-End Close : Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements. Provide accurate data to assist management in decision-making.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Assist with the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Account Reconciliations : Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Audit Support : Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits. Collaborate with auditors to resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the audit process.
• Financial Analysis : Assist in analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, and preparing variance analysis reports to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Compliance and Internal Controls : Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations, maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and participate in initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
