Certified Athletic Trainer - OrthoFast

Responsibilities :

  • Obtain patient history and order appropriate imaging
  • Assist with in office procedures
  • Perform initial concussion evaluation and testing
  • Splinting and casting application and removal
  • Brace fittings and crutch training
  • Implementing and instructing patient specific exercise programs
  • Review of lab results, MRI and other study results
  • Communication with MD and PA's regarding patient care
  • Manage prior authorizations of medications and imaging

Competencies :

  • Must have current BOC certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and employees
  • Qualifications :

  • Must have current BOC certification
  • At least one year of experience, preferably within an orthopaedic practice, is preferred
  • Communication skills are essential as this position interacts with practice providers, management team and staff members.
  • Willingness to travel to several clinics on a weekly / daily basis
  • Computer skills : Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
  • Candidates will be courteous, articulate and reliable, and must be able to multi-task in a busy, professional, fast-moving environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
