The Facilities Helper services the OCR facilities and grounds to maintain safety and aesthetics of the OCR facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs and rounds routinely checking the operation and safety of the buildings and grounds.
- Completes assigned preventative/corrective work orders and projects in a timely manner.
- Attends project meetings, where applicable.
- Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Completes assigned regulatory documentation.
- Grounds maintenance activities as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Valid Drivers License.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently.
- Ability to follow read, write, and interpret technical instructions.
Travel Requirements
Position requires acceptable motor vehicle driving history, valid and free from restrictions, and must have a valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle insurance coverage. Ability to travel between all OCR locations.
Physical Requirements
- The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, patients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit and frequently will use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls up to 8 hours per day. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee may occasionally work in hot and/or cold environments; small, close spaces; and may climb ladders.
