This position requires compliance with OrthoEast’s compliance standards, including its Code of Conduct, Compliance Program, and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element required as part of the job duties, and considered during performance evaluations.
Work Schedule: Work Schedule: Monday-Friday - 8 or 10 hour day shift (semi-flexible)
Summary: Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reviews Physician's referral and patient's condition to determine physical therapy treatment required.
· Tests and measures patient's functional status and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
· Plans and prepares treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
· Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform evidence-based rehabilitation interventions.
· Documents treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart.
· Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
· Confers with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient's health care.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Must be a graduate, or graduating, from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Must have, or be able to obtain, NC PT Licensure.
CPR certification required.
