Duties
- Schedule surgical procedures efficiently while coordinating with surgeons, patients, and other medical staff.
- Maintain accurate records of patient appointments and surgical schedules in the computerized system.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries regarding surgery details, preparation instructions, and follow-up care.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for accurate data entry and management of patient information.
- Assist with medical billing processes as needed to ensure proper documentation and claims submission.
- Demonstrate professional phone etiquette when communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence related to surgical scheduling.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical administrative support within a healthcare setting, must have familiarity with insurance verification.
- Proficient in using computerized scheduling systems and office software applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
