This full-time position will rotate between our offices located in Hartford, South Windsor, Plainville, Farmington, Rocky Hill, Glastonbury and Enfield. Morning start times may be as early as 6:30 a.m. - flexibility is a must!
Our highly visible Patient Registrars are responsible for greeting and checking in patients, collecting co-pays and patient balances, obtaining insurance information and referrals, and updating patient demographics. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma plus a minimum of two years’ experience in a medical office with a background in patient registration and an understanding of different insurance carriers and plans. Your attentiveness to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to multi-task and be flexible in a changing environment will contribute to your success in this position.

Responsibilities of this position include, but may not be limited to:
- Registering patients, including gathering and updating demographic and insurance information
- Collecting co-pays and patient account balances
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining referrals
- Assisting patients with health histories
- Assisting Medical Secretaries with phones, patient sessions, and other functions in support of patient care

Requirements
- High School diploma plus a minimum of two years' experience in a medical office with registration background
- Knowledge of medical insurances
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Epic EMR software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must have a current driver's license and auto insurance, as well as reliable transportation for travel to our various offices.
