This is a busy Orthopedic Surgery practice located on Long Island, NY. This is a busy Orthopedic Surgery practice located on Long Island, NY. - Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, records vitals, including height and weight and documents all information in patients' chart.
- Performs medication reconciliation with patient, when needed.
- Obtain information from patient related to reason for visit and document appropriately in the patient’s medical record.
- Assist physician/physician assistant during exam and/or with procedures, as needed.
- Give prescriptions, education forms and notes to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant.
- Ensure all related results, labs, MRI, etc. are scanned in in patients chart prior to their appointment.
- Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, checking expiration dates and maintaining instruments.
- Assists with DME fitting and providing coverage.
- Participates in MIPS/MACRA and other quality assurance programs.
- Travel to satellite offices, as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
