Patient Services Representative

Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the medical office. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments, answering phones, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate patient records, prior authorizations, medical records and disability. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient files and documentation, ensuring compliance with health information management standards.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Utilize EMR software for patient management tasks, including billing and insurance verification.
• Assist in the coordination of patient care by communicating effectively with healthcare providers and support staff.
• Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for patients.

Skills

• Proficiency in office operations within a medical setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle patient concerns professionally.
• Experience with documentation review to ensure compliance with medical standards.
• Familiarity with Eclinical Works or similar medical office software is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
