Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Administration
Reports To: Human Resources Director
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist will be the first point of contact for recruiting, employee orientation, onboarding and benefit questions. The Human Resources Generalist will also be responsible for timely processing of human resources administration duties This position serves as an exemplary role model and projects the positive image of Orthopedic Associates.
- Assists in screening, interviewing, and recommending qualified applicants to departmental managers and directors.
- Coordinates new hire background checks and drug screening.
- Conducts a welcoming orientation for new hires and ensures all necessary documentation is completed per company policy, federal, state and local laws.
- Assists in planning, organizing, and implementing recognition activities for employees.
- Consistently reviews and verifies employee licenses, certifications; maintains appropriate records.
- Ensures employee personnel files are complete and employee information is kept confidential.
- Oversees and coordinates annual open enrollment meetings ensuring all employee questions are answered
- Provides timely communication and processing of new hire employee benefits, current employee status changes, and responses to employee benefit questions throughout the year.
- Accurately tracks leaves of absences in ADP and ensures timecards are reflected accurately.
- Always ensures confidentiality (this position will have access to highly confidential information).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Required Education and Experience:
- Two to four years of Human Resources Generalist professional experience
- Creative recruiting experience and techniques
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Health care industry experience
- SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification
Work Authorization
- Must be able to provide required documentation stating that the employee is legal to work in the United States.
