What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Follow-up Representative position at Orthopedic Health of Kansas City?
Orthopedic Health of Kansas City (OHKC) is in search of a Insurance Follow-Up Representative. OHKC is a private orthopedic surgery practice with three locations throughout the Kansas City area with approximately 150 employees. We have been a trusted provider of orthopedic care in the Kansas City region for more than 70 years. The Insurance Follow- Representative will work at our beautiful new North Kansas City, MO office located at 1950 Diamond Parkway, Suite 100, North Kansas City, MO 64116. We are looking for team members with good communication skills (both verbal and written) as well as a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review, bill, rebill and resubmit insurance claims to the appropriate payer
- Identify and report trends to leadership
- Retrieve necessary documents for billing
- Follow up on claims including calling payers and using payer portals to resolve accounts
- Post adjustments and resolving credit balances
- Resolve rejections and denials through corrections and appeals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous medical office billing experience preferred.
- Previous experience with AdvancedMD billing software helpful.
- Knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT Coding helpful.
- Basic knowledge of third party insurance plans helpful.
- High school diploma required.
- Excellent attendance required.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
