Location : Munster, IN

Job Type : Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate occupational therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert therapy services to patients recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and work-related conditions while demonstrating strong emotional intelligence—building rapport, addressing patient concerns, and fostering a positive recovery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Treat pre- and post-surgical patients, sports injuries, and work-related conditions.
  • Conduct patient evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and establish measurable goals.
  • Educate patients on their condition, progress, and expected outcomes.
  • Supervise therapy aides in providing modalities (for non-Medicare, non-BCBSM patients) and assist in clinic setup / cleanup.
  • Monitor patient progress, update treatment plans, and coordinate discharge planning.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and support staff regarding patient care.
  • Maintain a reasonable level of productivity as defined by company and industry standards.
  • Assist in developing treatment protocols and participate in research studies and staff education.
  • Fabricate custom upper-extremity splints as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with insurance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing equipment and assisting with office upkeep.
  • Provide orientation and mentorship to new occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and therapy technicians.
  • Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, and scheduling patients as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Active Indiana occupational therapy license.
  • Proficiency in healthcare-related computer systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel to other office locations as needed.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform office-related activities, including sitting for extended periods, filing, and carrying supplies.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Occasional lifting / moving of up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Fine hand manipulation for tasks such as keyboarding.
