Job Description:
As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be pivotal in delivering excellent customer service and administrative support. You will greet patients, manage their registration, verify insurance details, handle payments, and ensure a smooth patient flow by accurately entering data into our EMR system.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet patients and deliver superior customer service.
- Assist with patient registration processes and address inquiries.
- Accurately enter and update patient information in the EMR system.
- Confirm active insurance coverage and verify eligibility.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances from patients.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and manage appointment calendars.
- Reconcile daily charges, fee tickets, and payment methods.
- Handle phone calls and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required for potential travel to other offices.
- Previous experience in orthopedics or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends at walk-in centers.
- Full-time employees may be required to work urgent care hours from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM on some days.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of insurance plans, including worker's compensation.
- Solid math skills for handling payments and reconciliations.
