Job Summary
The Patient Concierge plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support within an orthodontic office environment. This position involves greeting patients, managing the appointment schedule, coordinating office correspondence, and ensuring that all front office tasks are handled efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate completion of necessary forms and payments.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, optimizing the use of time for patients and providers.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding services, procedures, and office policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Manage general office correspondence, including emails and phone calls.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Qualifications
- No previous dental background is required, but it is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using office equipment and scheduling software; experience with dental/medical software is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in healthcare administration or related fields are a plus.
Additional Information
- Starting Salary: $16/hour, with opportunities for growth based on performance and specialization of role.
- Work Schedule: Part-time, 20–29 hours per week.
- Typical workdays: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
- Typical start time: 9 AM.
- Typical end time: 6 PM.
