Responsible for assisting physical therapists and occupational therapists with clinical and non-clinical tasks to make the patient’s experience successful and therapists’ schedules flow smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of Physical and Occupational Therapy patients
- Manage patient flow escorting the patients from check in to the treatment area
- Monitor patient exercise programs under the direction of the therapist
- Record patient progress and assist with documentation
- Apply modalities including hot/cold packs, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Organize and clean the gym and treatment rooms per schedule and as required
- Scan therapy charts and complete discharge summaries
- Inventory and organize therapy clinical supplies
- Schedule patient appointments
