General Statement of Duties:
The Radiologic Technologist Clinic Team Lead coordinates and monitors the daily clinic schedules for imaging needs including maintaining the staffing schedule, and coordinates time off requests. The position gathers information for quality assurance indicators and other statistics, The Team Lead also provides radiology services including taking images, of various portions of the body by operating radiologic equipment according to developmental factors and age specifics under supervision and as directed by a Physician
Essential Duties:
- Works closely with the Clinic Radiology Manager to ensure that daily operations run smoothly and collaborates with all members of the clinic operations staff and leadership.
- Maintains the staffing schedule, coordinates schedule changes, call-offs and travels to sites as needed for coverage. Coordinates time off requests. Collaborates with department leadership and provides feedback on staff performance and other developmental areas as needed. Performs audits to provide to department leadership for performance reviews. Participates in evaluation of job candidates and interview process. Trains new employees. Ensures competency onboarding lists are completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with Clinic Radiology Manager to input, research, and complete incident reports and RL6, incident reporting, files. Serves as catalyst for change management and performance improvements.
- Retrieves information needed for reporting on quality assurance metrics, staffing levels or other data analysis as needed. Participates in committee participation as directed.
- Assists in the development of educational needs, onboarding and precepting for the radiology personnel and collaborates with department leaders to ensure safe and efficient care. Establishes standard processes and procedures to standardize function and services between various clinics. Models department and company policies through daily activities and expectations. Upholds standards among staff. Maintains oversite of procedure protocols.
- Preforms all required exams, routine and advanced.
- Instructs patient regarding procedures. Performs proper positioning for patients, maintains comfort and safety levels during examination. Authorizes release of patients upon completion of radiologic examination. Performs data entry related to patient care.
- Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment. Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis. Examines radiologic images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
- Notifies Clinic Radiology Manager when issues arise with equipment so that appropriate repairs can be completed, and service is tracked. Assists with tracking equipment needs and budgetary items.
- Completes other duties as assigned. Continues professional development activities to stay abreast of current practices and processes.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in related field required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience required, 2-4 years of experience preferred
- 1-2 years of previous experience within OrthoIndy Clinic Radiology preferred
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required
- Indiana State Department of Health (RT) certification required
- BLS CPR certification required
